2008 PreCamp Crash Course in Comedy |
Where: Plays and Players Theater, 17th and Delancey in Philadelphia, close to public transportation and in a safe area. |
Dates: June 23 - 27
Monday – Friday |
Times: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM |

Enrollment: Limited to 20 students. Must be between the ages of 12 and 17. |
Tuition: $300
($50 discount if registered before April 5) |
Course Description: Get intensive training in improvisation and sketch comedy. Learn to say ‘yes’ to what is offered and find the humor in everyday situations and bizarre ones, too. Act 1 of our show will be comprised of sketch comedy from Monty Python, the Reduced Shakespeare Company and/or Saturday Night Live. Act 2 will be our version of the popular TV show, Whose Line is it Anyway? |
Performance: June 27 at 7 PM at Plays and Players Theater. Free: suggested donation $5. Everyone is welcome to attend. |

July 24 for Hairspray - Teen at 7 PM

| Course Description: Train your voice in the Broadway style. Perform solo and in groups. Learn to sing in harmony. We will be performing songs from: Spring Awakening, Pippin, Wicked, Hairspray, Chicago, Merrily We Roll Along, Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods and many more. |

Course Description: Get training in film acting and production work. The camp will produce scenes from popular films and/or an original short film. A television producer will host a day of training and shooting commercials . Philadelphia film actors will host a master classes on the film business. All students from the camp will receive a DVD copy of the scenes we produce. Please note that some evenings may be required for filming. |
